DESIGNING AN AI-POWERED HEALTHCARE PLATFORM, IMPROVING CLARITY AND TRUST IN DOCTOR-PATIENT COMMUNICATION
Introduction
SouLink is a digital health platform designed to improve doctor-patient communication. By combining AI-driven symptom visualization, simplified language, and streamlined booking features, SouLink helps patients express their concerns more clearly and enables doctors to make faster, more accurate decisions.
The platform aims to reduce misdiagnosis, save consultation time, and ultimately enhance the overall healthcare experience.
My role
I was involved in all stages of the project as a UX Designer, from research to the final MVP. My work included user research and analysis, journey mapping, information architecture, competitive benchmarking, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
I also contributed to the business strategy, developing parts of the financial model and defining key metrics.
Project scope
This was a 4-month project developed by a team of five international UX designers.
Working in a multidisciplinary team gave us diverse insights and required strong collaboration to deliver a comprehensive solution. (on-site & remote)

Problem
Up to 20% of doctor-patient encounters globally result in diagnostic errors.
Our research, combining academic literature with interviews of doctors and patients, confirmed that misdiagnosis is often rooted in poor communication.
Patients lack the health literacy and vocabulary to describe their symptoms clearly, while doctors are constrained by limited consultation time and administrative overload. The result is a communication gap that fuels misunderstanding, delays, and ineffective treatment.
